ABOUT DJ TONY MAZZA
DJ Tony Mazza was born on a cool day in October of 1975, at Brunswick Hospital in Amityville, New York. His Mother was a runner-up for Miss NY in 1972, and many claim that this is where Tony gets his good looks. However, it was the constant presence of music coming from his father’s guitar and his mother’s disco dancing that would influence for Tony’s love for music and future success as a DJ.
Shortly after turning 18, he started to flash his badass style and smile all over New York. Even at times working with the Funkmaster Flex. But he was Inspired by the likes of fellow DJ’s Justin Time and Jonathan Peters, Tony broke onto the scene as a Resident House DJ of the “Sunday Tea Party” at the Ice Palace on Fire Island, NY, where he went on to spin every night for three years.
It was clear that Tony was a natural audio lover and his love of the craft of DJing led him to quickly became popular in the New York music scene. And as the Resident DJ for two years at the Famous 56th fighter Squad, biggest Friday happy hour for many years on Long Island, NY, He would regularly host a crowd of 1500 or more. Tony would later move on to spin at the Crazy Donkey for a year.
After graduation from high school Tony took a hiatus from music to pursue his dreams of playing ball in college at University of Southern California, but sat the bench the whole year. His disappointment with school and sports would only throw fuel onto the fire of his DJ passion.
Since then Tony has Dj’ed for Third Eye Blind, Diana Ross, Avalon in Hollywood, The Abbey, House of Blues, Crazy Donkey, Ice Palace, Falcon, 56 Fire Squadron, Blvd3, Club Eleven, and much more..
